We Find all that we need in Jesus!

1 God draws us to himself.
V44 “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him.”
God the Father, the Creator draws us to the Son.
If we listen and are attentive we can find God.
The natural revelation of God is being worked out all of us.
All people have the ability to know and find God. But some rebel! Jesus’s parable about the seed falling on the path or weeds.
I am reminded of the homing pigeons who somehow find their way home. It seems that God has set within us the same gift spiritually, like a spiritual magnetic compass towards Him.

2 God teaches us himself.
V45 It is written in the prophets, they will all be taught by God. Isaiah 54v13. Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from Him comes to me.
If we listen and are attentive we can learn from God through the Spirit.
The Holy Spirit within us continues to teach us about God and about Jesus.
That’s what the Spiritual retreat or workshop is about on Friday night, exploring a variety of ways that we can sense God speaking into our lives.
Peter, Paul and John all saw dreams or visions.
Matthew felt convicted.

3 God sustains us himself.
V35 I am the bread of life, he who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never go thirsty.
V48 I am the bread of life,…. v51 if anyone eats of this bread he will live forever.
V51 This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
If we remain in Him we find life and spiritual sustenance.
We find what we are truly looking for spiritually in life in Jesus Christ and the love of God.
God draws us into relationship with Him through His Son so that we might know His love and forgiveness and acceptance, and He sustains us there in Christ.

Jesus reminds us to be connected to the vine John 15. v4 “Remain in me and I will remain in you.”

Please read John 15v1 “I am the True Vine, and my Father is the Gardener.”

John 15v9-10.  “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Fathers commands and remain in His love.”
