Prayer

Prayer is often about talking with God, hearing what God is saying into our lives and sensing His peace in our lives as we trust and walk with Him.

We have a Monthly Prayer Meeting on the 2nd Thursday in the month to pray for the life of the church and any other issues that may arrise.

Prayer ministry is available at many of our services at the communion rail for individuals themselves who require extra support and prayer for something they are facing in their life, or on behalf of others.

The Prayer Chain is available for emergency prayer requests. A short prayer request is passed around the chain via phone so that about 20 faithful prayer people are praying for that person. (Confidentiality is important and so sometimes names are not mentioned depending on the persons preference).

Anointing the Sick is available on request to the Vicar in obedience to James 5v13. This can take place at a persons home or in the church as prefered by the person. It is helpful to have other Church Leaders and often other family members present as well, again depending on the preference of the persons wishes.

Prayer for the dying is available on request and the clergy are often called out to pray with or over a person in their last moments of life. Often the family are also present and also draw great comfort and peace from this time of prayer and blessing of their dying family member.

Blessings of houses or rooms are also a common request of the clergy after people have died or when people move into a new home.
